Nurturing, Quality Child Care & Learning Programs to Help Your Child Grow

PROGRAMS

Infants (6 weeks – 18 months) & Toddlers (18 months – 36 months)

Infants and toddlers in our care are engaged in age-appropriate activities designed to encourage their cognitive and social development. Infants are provided with an individualized schedule based on their needs, while toddlers spend their time with us in a combination of nurturing care, play, and learning.

Preschool (3 – 5 years)

Our preschoolers participate in activities that explore their interests while strengthening their learning and social skills. Our degreed preschool teachers use a quality curriculum while creating a nurturing, caring environment where children can feel confident, safe and secure. Preschoolers gain the skills they need to be successful when they enter kindergarten and beyond.

Private Preschool

Certain centers offer a private preschool program, which children can participate either in addition to daycare (as an added fee), or by itself. Each teacher in our private preschool has a degree and is committed to providing a quality learning environment, where children will be prepared for kindergarten and beyond.

K12/OHVA Group

At our Oberlin location, we have areas designated for children in kindergarten through fifth grade enrolled in K12/OHVA online homeschooling. Students can meet and study together in these spaces, and have access to the assistance of Learning Coaches for additional support. We also schedule field trips and additional lessons (such as violin, Taekwondo, art and computer coding) for these students. Because this program is only offered in our Oberlin location, space is limited.

Before & After School

Our centers offer care for kindergarteners in half-day programs, as well as before and after school care and non-school-day care for children ages 5-12. In these programs we encourage children’s social skills and allow them to develop friendships while continuing their learning.

Back-Up/Drop-In Care

If your child needs care on an as-needed, rather than a scheduled, basis, call one of our centers for information on how to preregister for our back-up/drop-in care program.

Summer Programs & Camp

Learning doesn’t have to end just because school is out! We offer engaging, fun, and educational weekly field trips for children ages 6-12.

The Child Garden, Kids

Curriculum

Each of our centers utilize The Creative Curriculum, which offers the nation’s leading strength-based education in the areas of literacy, social studies, mathematics, science and more. The Creative Curriculum is applicable for students of all ages and for bilingual students.

Screenings, Assessments and Progress Reports

The Child Garden uses Ages and Stages developmental screening for infants and children up to five years old for delays in development. Our staff completes Hayes Progress Reports in November and April, listing out your child’s yearly achievements in different areas. We perform yearly hearing and vision screenings.
